 2012 FCAQ Conference

The 2012 FCAQ conference will be held at the Sea Temple Palm Cove (Cairns) from Wednesday 2 May to Friday 4 May 2012 inclusive.

Please note that the early bird rate is only available for financial members of the Association and that registration at this rate will close on Friday 16 March at which time registration fees must also have been paid.

Please indicate whether you will be attending the Strategic Planning Meeting being held on Friday morning or whether you will be attending the alternate workshops. Only financial members are able to attend the Strategic Planning Meeting.

The Annual General Meeting (financial members only) will be held on Friday afternoon. All financial members are invited to nominate for a position on the Management Committee.

Welcome to the Financial Counselling Queensland Network website.

Do you need to talk to a financial counsellor?

A financial counsellor is a person who can assist you with a range of services relating to personal and business finances. These include information and options on:

  • The rights and responsibilities of your finances
  • Understanding debts and debt recovery processes
  • Assistance with budgeting and money management
  • Assist you to voice your circumstances to creditors and others
  • Insolvency options
Do you need to talk to a rural/farm financial counsellor?

Rural financial counsellors assist farmers, fishers and small rural businesses to identify options relating to their operation, including
  • Cashflow budgeting and business planning
  • Business analysis to determine current situation and available resources
  • Identification of available options
  • Access to drought support measures and other forms of financial and professional assistance
  • Identification of areas of risk in the business
The financial counsellors who are members to this site do NOT charge a fee and are free from conflict of interest.
